Eurostat Regional Year Book 2012  Statistical information is an important tool for understanding and quantifying the impact of political decisions in a specific territory or region. The Eurostat regional yearbook 2012 gives a detailed picture relating to a broad range of statistical topics across the regions of the 27 Member States of the European Union (EU), as well as the regions of EFTA and candidate countries. Each chapter presents statistical information in maps, figures and tables, accompanied by a description of the main findings, data sources and policy context.
Eurostat : European Union Labour Force Survey- Annual Result 2011 Issue Nº. 40/2012 This publication presents annual averages of the main results of the EU Labour Force Survey for the EU-27 and for all Member States. Indicators presented in this publication are: employment rates, part-time employment as share of total employment, number of employed people broken down by economic activity and by occupation of the main job, average of hours usually worked by week, percentage of employees with limited duration contract, number of self-employed persons broken down by economic activity, self-employed persons as a share of total employment, unemployment rate, percentage of unemployed for one year and more, and youth unemployment ratio.
European Commission Quaterly Report on the Euro Area. October This edition of the Quarterly Report examines a number of facets of the euro area adjustment challenge. In its Focus section, it analyses external sustainability in euro-area countries, some of which have accumulated large net external liabilities. The macroeconomic consequences of large net liabilities include debt service payments acting as drag on national income, slower growth and a greater likelihood of macroeconomic shocks. 
 
Eurofound - NEETs- Yung people not in employment, education or training Characteristics, cost and policies responses in Europe. This report analyses the labour market situation of young people in Europe, with a specific focus on the NEET group. It examines the determinants of belonging to the NEET group, and measures the economic and social costs of NEETs. It also assesses how Member States through policies and interventions have sought to support young people to gain a foothold in the labour market. It shows that successful policy initiatives address specific, disadvantaged subgroups in the NEET population.
